Our day was quite uneventful. We moved to a different hotel with more space. It is nice for Charlie to be able to rest in a separate room from us. We still continue to be amazed at his progression. He has literally been pain-free since he was discharged. Last night I gave him Tylenol, preventatively. Today I asked him if he had pain and he said nope! He looks like a little old man, stooped over and as a result has a sore back and shoulders. It will just take time for him to straighten up. We are just enjoying some family time.
So happy that everything is going so well for you Charlie. Celebration Prayer chain continues to pray for you all. Soon this will be all behind you and you can get on with that exciting life ahead of you. God Bless you all.

Hello Bruce family! Great to hear of the progress and release from prison - the breakfast plate said it all. The time line sounds very reasonable to me but it always is questionable to the patient (well maybe not in Charlie's case) and the family. I am sure he doesn't have "pain" like he did immediately post op, but you are right in noting stooped shoulders are still sore. Here's my dirt cheap advice - keep giving Tylenol at bedtime and first thing in the morning. It sometimes just helps to have a more comfortable sleep and feel a bit more limber in the am. It is a strategy we use and advise for the first while. It is a remarkable day and age to live in, when medical knowledge and technology equate to a lifesaving miracle! hugs for all.

Hi everyone,
Aren't we fortunate to have great physicians and qualified staff practicing in Canada? You guys are part of the team and have made the experience easier for Charlie and the staff by being so supportive and caring. All the best to you all----you are in our thoughts and prayers. We love reading the blog and being able to see and hear how things are going --- thanks for taking the time to share!!
