Charlie's appointment went really well today, so we said our goodbyes to Dr. Gandhi and the staff that supported us at BC Children's Hospital. We appreciated such excellent care and compassion. Great place for sick kids to be and great place for recovering kids to leave. Thank you Children's Heart Centre!
One of the first things Vancouverites ask when they learn that you are from out of town is, "Have you been to Stanley Park and the Aquarium?" So, that box needed to be ticked today. Fun was had by all.
Our flight was scheduled to arrive at midnight, however was a bit late. Charlie slept most of the way home and I had to wake him when we landed - he went to bed very shortly after we got home.
My mom picked us up at the airport and it was so good to see her. She has been a gem just praying, worrying, manicuring our yard (as well as our neighbour) and taking care of our Joee. She brought us home and when we walked into our house, on the counter was a whole bunch of baking, the fridge was stocked and so was the freezer. I was completely in awe! My wonderful friends (Charlie's school friend's moms) went out of their way to help us out. What an outstanding homecoming - so incredibly thoughtful. Again, my eyes started to leak. Thank you special ladies. I will never forget this. Just WOW!
Corwyn and Georgia will start their trek back tomorrow. They have plans to make a couple of stops…ziplining is what I am hearing? They deserve some fun.
Charlie is looking forward to some visits, so please come and spend time with him - and all of us.
